Safety and Setup Instructions

This chapter mentions the instructions concerning the safe handling of the AutoBusGW (ABGW) and is divided as follows:

Storage

The ABGW should be stored in a reasonably dust-free and dry environment.

Transport

The ABGW should be transported using the provided packaging.

Setup

The ABGW is connected to the mains using the supplied cable (C13 socket to the power supply and C14 plug to the mains) and connected to the ethernet port e0 using a standard ethernet cable and placed on a 19 inch mounting rack.

Commissioning

The ABGW should be used in an environment where there are no large temperature fluctuations.

The Software Interface section covers commissioning.

Operating Temperature

The product is desinted to be operated in controlled environments such as Labs and server rooms. Ambient temperatures below 0 degrees and over 50 degrees Celcius shall be avoided. The hardware temperature can be accessed and monitored via the API endpoint /system/status (temperature_deg_C).

Cleaning

The ABGW housing should be cleaned with isopropanol. The cooling fans should stay dust-free for optimal cooling.

Service (Repair)

The ABGW should be sent back to ARECS GmbH for any repairs. Any repairs done outside of ARECS GmbH will lead to a void warranty.

Disposal

The ABGW contains no hazardous materials and shall be disposed of as standard electrical waste compliant with local regulations.
